Frequently Asked Questions
What should be on a job application form?
Contact details, the role applied for, a resume or profile link, work-eligibility and notice-period screeners, and one short written question. That set lets you rank candidates in a single table pass. Everything deeper — references, portfolios walkthroughs, salary — belongs to later stages.
How do candidates submit a resume without a file upload?
Through a link field: candidates paste a Google Drive, Dropbox, or LinkedIn URL. It is genuinely better for screening — every application row has a clickable resume in the same column, nothing to download, and candidates on phones are not fighting a file picker.
How long should a job application form be?
Under ten minutes to complete. Application funnels lose a large share of candidates when forms stretch past that, and the loss is not evenly distributed — employed, in-demand people quit longest forms first, so an overlong application selects for desperation.
Can one application form cover multiple open roles?
Yes — make the position field a select listing each opening, and filter responses by it. This works well up to a handful of similar roles; once openings need different screening questions, duplicate the form per role instead of writing questions vague enough to fit all.
